The sibling duo behind The Herbivorous Butcher, America’s first vegan butcher shop, is opening another first: Herbie Butcher’s Fried Chicken.

The brother and sister duo behind the Herbivorous Butcher are opening a 100 percent vegan fried chicken restaurant in Minneapolis. Following the success of the vegan butcher business, the pair plan to open Herbie Butcher’s Fried Chicken later this spring.

Originally launched in January 2016, The Herbivorous Butcher has been serving up plant-based deli meat and cheeses in Northeast Minneapolis and has inspired a movement of other plant-based foodies to open up similar butcher establishments across the country.
